2010 Season Blog, Being a Hunter

With less than 25 days remaining until we flip the calendar over to October it's hard to hide the excitement any longer. It's almost here!! It's like back when you were in elementary school and you walked out those doors on the last day of school. The wait was over and now it is time for some fun.

Tree Stand Question

Bedding areas and food plots are two habitat improvements that you most likely hear about the most. The perfect deer bed, the perfect planting… “Perfect, perfect, perfect”. So many strive for perfection in the creation of a habitat feature that I wonder if a lot of folks really miss out on the one aspect...

Throughout the years I’ve enjoyed getting to know a few mature bucks, as well as being able to be involved in hunting them. A glaring statistic I’ve shared before and I think is worth repeating is that only 1 out of 17 those mature bucks was killed on a food source. At the same time, food sources whether they were natural or man-made, contributed...
