Good Day,

Nice fish!

And yes, there are some nice brookies in the Great Lakes Basin. My personal best was about 16" (no camera, catch and release...). And I have seen larger! Once I was on a wooden bridge over looking a creek. two brookies and brown, all no less than 3-4 pounds. On that same water (downstream), unfortunately, I came across a dead 17" brookie that swallowed a hook and must have broken off the night before. Sorry, can't share the waterway as it is on the unmentionables list, but I can say it was within an hour of GR. Shoot, if you know where to look and do a little research, you can find brookies in my home county, Kent.

Len,

Enjoyed your very informative article about the Driftless region in this month's American Angler.

Great Fish! Congrats on the catch. I have been into them once like that in the UP. I need to go back and do it again! Team Eaton www.TagginOutHunting.com
